Partners

Center for Land-Based Learning and Audubon California partnered to create the Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship (SLEWS) Program and the Farm on Putah Creek. See the education section for more details.

Yolo County Resource Conservation District and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Woodland Field Office are critical partners to the program. Many of the projects being implemented in the watershed are based on practices developed by the Yolo Resource Conservation District and NRCS. Farm Bill conservation programs, administered through NRCS, are an important source of cost-share funding and technical assistance for projects implemented in the watershed by farmers and ranchers.
